BBBXL-001 Big Beauty Bang // Stamping Plate Review

I recently got sent a few stamping plates to try from Beauty Big Bang, and I've fallen instantly in love. This plate is BBBXL-001 and it is a perfect plate for summer, it's giving me so many vacation feelings! The plate has 14 designs on it, a mix between fruit and tropical themed.

Things I love about this plate...

The quality is great, the plate has a plastic backing and the designs pick up and stamp perfectly.

The designs are unique and fun.

It is a relatively cheap plate (not the cheapest, but nowhere near the cost of some brands).

The designs are a perfect size (in my opinion), they are bigger than my nail so would fix well on longer nails too, but they're not too big that I lose a tone of the designs because I have short nails.

The packaging!! I am obsessed with the cardboard sleeves om the XL Beauty Big Bangs plates. They are adorable.

CRANEY METALLIC NAIL POLISH & BASE COAT | BEAUTY BIG BANG

We could say that 2017 was a year of metallic trends, starting with clothes and footwear, fashion accessories and up to makeup. I'm not a person tracking trends, but it's hard not to notice anything that weird half of Instagram. So, for me, quite logically, around the nail polish of different finishes, especially those with a mirror effect applied by the usual spongy applicator, the result is really wow! However, it is true that these powders give the best effect when used in conjunction with gel lags that go under the UV / LED lamp, which I, unfortunately, do not have.

The Beauty BigBang shop, among other things, has a bunch of powders, and since I wanted to try something out there, I chose a red-pink Craney metallic lacquer that comes complete with a base (SKU: J2450-2A) to my delight, it does not have to be under the lamp! Next time I will take a powder for the test because as I have seen in some nail bloggers, their powders even in combination with ordinary varnishes give an excellent effect (here's a link to see what I'm talking about). But let's get back to Craney varnish. You can choose between 10 colors, and I have chosen it under number 06. And the loop and base contains 6ml, and the current price of the set is $ 4.99.

For the best metallic effect it is necessary to first put the base of the base lacquer and allow it to dry. The metallic nail polish in color is really super pigmented and only one layer is enough to cover it completely. When you apply it try to make as little brush moves as otherwise the crap is blowing. : D The same happens if you immediately put another layer of lacquer. No bubbles appeared to me but the whole bubble. Basically, it looked so nasty that I had to get rid of everything and scratch it first. Another tip, when you brush your nails, try to pull the tooth straight, because it is a metallic varnish that is specific to leaving the lines. As it is easier to dry, the lines of pulling the brush are less visible, but they do not disappear until the end. So, this is not the type of light that looks like a mirror mirror, but it still has more than an excellent effect. Due to its pigmentation it will be excellent for sealing. I can not wait to try it for that purpose.

Beauty Big Bang Silver Stamping Nail Polish review

I love the look of metallic colors with stamping, so today's review covers a silver stamping polish from Beauty Bigbang.

The item comes inside cardboard packaging that lists all the appropriate details for the item such as the ingredients, color, and the SKU number on the Beauty Bigbang website. It also has its birthday and expiration date (always listed as 2 years later, even though you and I both know we own polishes that are way older than that and are still usable) printed on the side of the box.

The cylindrical bottle design is simple and sturdy with a cap that is easy to hold.

Inside you will find 9 mL of a highly pigmented metallic silver varnish. What is probably most noteworthy upon opening the bottle is the strong smell of the formula! You will definitely want to use this in an area with good ventilation.

The brush is fairly wide which makes applying the polish to plates a fast process. The formula itself a little on the thick side, but I find that this is usually the case with metallic stamping polishes.

I was hugely impressed with the quality of this sliver stamping polish. The only downside was its strong smell, but I would willingly put up with that for not having to struggle with transferring my stamping images! You will adore how easily this picks up images, and it doubles as a great one coat nail polish if you’re in a hurry because it dries quickly.

Review of Beauty Big Bang Chameleon Polish 001

Today I will be reviewing a beautiful green and purple chameleon polish from Beauty Bigbang. It’s simply labeled 001 from their Chameleon Polish line, but wow does this polish pack a punch!

It comes shipped in an elegant black and gold box. The front of the package has a circular window cut out so you can see the nail polish color inside while the back of the package lists the ingredients.

The bottle holds 9 mL, which is slightly less than your typical drugstore brand which contains anywhere between 12-15 mL, but I think that 9 mL is still a lot of polish! After all, when was the last time you finished off an entire bottle of nail lacquer?

The brush inside is fairly wide and capable of painting most nails in 1-2 strokes. I’m honestly not a fan of the brushes inside Beauty Bigbang’s bottles because they feel a little stiff to me, almost to the point where a second stroke removes some of the polish from the first stroke. While they’re not the best for application, they still get the job done. Do try to use a soft touch when applying the polish, and allow each coat to dry before applying another coat.

The best part about this polish is the color of course! I haven’t tried too many multichrome polishes, but this one really wowed me from the moment I applied it to my nails. It takes 2-3 coats to get the fully saturated pigmentation right, but it is so beautiful!

The color shifts from a gorgeous shimmery royal purple to teal to forest green with even hints of gold depending on how the light hits it. I love a polish that serves up multiple looks!

The effect isn’t due to any sort of trick lighting.

This color begged for some more sparkle so i add some rhinestones on nails to make it stand out even more.

The polish had a quick dry time, and it wore well over several days without any major chips or cracking. I’m in love with this color, and I’m sure you will be, too if you try it!

CAT EYE MAGNETIC POWDER

Hey you lovely nail people, how's the week started off for you? Me, I'm busy in preparation for my daughter's birthday. She must be the only 13 year old I know who can't get through a day without mentioning something to do with her birthday lol.
Anywho, as I've mastered using nail pigments and flakies over regular polish, I wanted to see if Cat Eye Magnetic Powder would work too. So I have 2 shades from Beauty Big Bang and I'm here with the first today. 1C is a gorgeous purple, oh and I forgot to mention these are also chameleons too! So as I was saying 1C is a gorgeous purple which shifts to green/copper.

I'm aware these particular powders work best with gel polish, but for those like me who can't wear gel anymore or don't use gel, I think it's useful to have posts like these, where regular polish has been used. Now I tried a few different ways to get this pigment to work, and it looks stunning without the cat eye effect! As with most pigments this too came with a sponge tipped applicator. First attempt I burnished into my tacky polish, topcoated and held the magnet as close as possible to my nail. For me this had no effect what so ever. Second attempt I mixed some of the powder with a clear polish (not water based) painted 2 coats on my nails over an already dried black base. Topcoated and held the magnet over each nail again. This worked better and I could see some cat eye effect. Think I may need a stronger magnet. But here are my photos ( at last lol)

Beauty BigBang Review: Black Stamping Polish, Plates XL-001 and 007

Hello there Nailmates!!!

Long time no see!

A lot has happened this last year from: having a 4th child to moving to a different town (still within Texas). Life happens right...... but I really wanted to get back on track and blog a little bit more.

For the last year I've shared my nail art on Instagram, Facebook and left my blog behind; a couple of weeks ago I received an email from the Beauty Bigbang PR, she reached out to me to see if I would be interested in reviewing some stamping plates, I replied saying I would love to. I'm always looking forward to adding new stamping plates to my collection plus it gave me the perfect excuse to blog again.

The company is new to me and I was asked to choose a few items to review from the website. I was pleasantly surprised with a lovely landing page, and a tidy well organized e-store. Once I figured out where everything was located, I went directly to the "Nails" section and from there to "Stamping." I chose to review 2 of their new plates: XL-001 and 007 and a black stamping polish.

The Stamping polish comes in sleek black matte cardboard box with white and gold accents. The cylindrical bottle is paired with an old gold matte cap which keeps the bottle symmetrical. The number 002 can be found at the bottom of the bottle and on top of the box. The bottle contains .32 Fl Oz. or 9 ml of product. The polish is highly pigmented, thick and dries slowly, giving you some extra seconds to pick up the image and apply to the nail. The brush is short and with the polish all over it, I couldn't really see the shape of it. You can find the 002 black polish here.

The plates are well and evenly etched, I had no problems picking up the images, they have a wide variety of patterns, designs and single images. Right now my nails are long (about 2 cm from the cuticle to the tip) and the full nail designs cover all the nail surface. The plates come in a customized cardboard sleeve with beautiful eye catching graphic motifs. I usually discard the sleeves but I think I'm keeping both of them.

The plate XL-001 has a tropical theme, with everything you can dream of in a summer vacation, from fruits to shells. With 14 different patterns it allows you to create several nail designs or mix and match the designs in one manicure. The full nail images size are: 1.5cm or 2/16 inches wide and 2.4cm or 15/16 inches tall.

For the design above I used a silver holographic base and Beauty Bigbang XL-001. You can find the plate here.

The XL-007 is a Unicorn themed stamping template with shooting stars and clouds patterns and offers a few more options than just Unicorns without totally setting aside the kawaii/fantasy topic. It features 11 full nail designs and 5 single images. The full nail designs are 1 mm more wide and 1 mm shorter than the tropical plate. You can find this lovely plate here.

I started the design above with Sinful Colors in 2 different shades of purple and used 2 different toppers to add more depth, the clouds and the unicorn are reverse stamping. I stamped the stars with a gold polish and on top the words: "I'm a Unicorn" with the black stamping polish.

This is one my favorite manis so far and also my toddler's favorite
